Effective IELTS self-study experience at home

 In the IELTS Listening test, you will have to listen to four dialogues taken from various sources: two friends talking to each other, a teacher and a student discussing an internship report, or radio broadcasts. Therefore, when studying IELTS at home, you should make yourself a habit of watching the news, watching game shows on television, listening to international music, and especially expanding the network of programs as wide as possible to deal with voice problems of many different nationalities. 

One of the effective ways to prepare yourself for the IELTS test is to create opportunities for yourself to speak English anytime, anywhere. The simplest way is to contact "like-minded" friends who practice speaking English or friends who have studied abroad to chat. 

Of the four IELTS skills, writing is perhaps the most difficult. Not to mention part 2 is the personal opinion section, without proper preparation, you will get a low score right from part 1. This is extremely unfortunate because part 1 is not challenging to earn a high score as you think. Before you start preparing for the IELTS test at home, it is extremely important that you have a clear understanding of the IELTS test structure as well as the test format of each of the Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing skills.
